4. A focal wall

One of the best ways to change the appearance of a room is by adding a focal wall. Bright/ darker paints, prominent wallpaper, wall décor, and wall textures can go great lengths in adding flair to your room. If you already have a focal wall, try changing the color/texture/paneling.
